grail (greɪl) n.
1. (usu. cap.) a cup or chalice that in medieval legend was associated with unusual powers and was much sought after by knights: identified with the cup used at the Last Supper and given to Joseph of Arimathea.
2. (sometimes cap.) any greatly desired and sought-after objective.
Yup, got mine. Being somewhat of an old schooler to sneakers, typically my grails would be retros in original colorways of shoes. Not so with the Air Jordan 1 SB ‘Lance Mountains.’ I love the black/royal 1s, and I love the black/red 1s, so why not have both in one shoe that essentially forces you to wear them? For those wondering what the hell I’m talking about, click here. Portions of the shoes rub off, making them uniquely personalized to each wearer after prolonged wear and tear. Kind of like selvedge denim for your feet. So yeah, I’m wearing the shit out of my Lances and keeping track of number of wears. Each scuff is like a badge of honor, and I’ll be sharing progress as the shoes break in. For now, dear readers, you all get the zero-wears set of pics.
